Accessibility Statement
Martha Liebert Public Library is committed to ensuring digital and physical accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all.
Our Commitment
We strive to meet or exceed the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Website Accessibility
Accessibility Features
Our website includes clear and consistent navigation, descriptive page titles and headings, logical content structure, skip navigation links, keyboard navigation support, sufficient color contrast ratios, text resizing up to 200%, responsive design for all devices, alternative text for images, and ARIA labels for screen readers.
Known Issues
We are actively working to address the following limitations: some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible, certain third-party embedded content may have accessibility barriers, and historical archive materials may lack alternative text or captions. We are committed to remediating these issues. If you encounter specific accessibility barriers, please contact us.
Third-Party Content
Our website includes content from third parties including our library catalog system, LibCal event registration platform, database providers, and social media embeds. While we work with vendors who prioritize accessibility, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of all third-party content. If you experience issues with third-party services, please let us know so we can work with the vendor to resolve them.
